I’ve been supporting the PostgreSQL project through community building, advocacy, and organisational work for over a decade, alongside my work as Marketing and Sales Director at Data Egret.
I’ve attended many community conferences and served on Organising and Programme Committees. I served on the PgUS User Group Committee, later serving as its Chair, and was part of the Diversity Task Force that helped launch the Diversity Committee in Europe. I currently serve on the PostgreSQL Funds Group and am a co-founding member of the Open Alliance for Postgres Education. I’m also honoured to be recognised as a PostgreSQL Significant Contributor.
What I’ve learned is that the only real way to understand the Postgres community is to engage with it — by sharing your ideas, your perspective, and your energy.
Beyond its technical capabilities, financial advantages, and freedom from vendor lock-in, PostgreSQL offers something more: a truly unique open-source movement. I’m proud and grateful to be part of it.
